

WISCONSIN AMATEUR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION/ WISCONSIN HOCKEY HALL OF FAME SCHOLARSHIPS
PROCEDURE FOR SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
- Have scholarship packets available to all participants in the Wisconsin Senior Class Tournament and delivered to those interested who participated in the WAHA before and after team.
- Applications to be received by
Committee by April 25, 2005.
- Winners will be notified by May 6, 2005 and will be invited to the State Meeting.
- Announcement of Scholarship Winners will be made at the Wisconsin Amateur
Hockey Association Annual Spring Meeting on May 14th.
- Scholarship Committee to consist of: Representative from the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association Board, Representative from the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame Board, and two outside committee people appointed by the two Boards.
ELIGIBILITY- Open to all high school seniors selected to participate in the Wisconsin Senior Class Tournament held annually in Waupun or a member of the WAHA before and after team.
- Must continue full
time education at an accredited University, College, or Technical School.
- Applicants, who have been selected to receive the scholarships and plays junior hockey before entering school, must start school within the first year after playing junior hockey.
CRITERIA USED IN SELECTION- Written essay by applicant indicating:
- why he/she deserves scholarship,
- school and community activities.
- Letter of recommendation from principal, including academic achievements.
- Letter of Recommendation from High School representative of your choice (Athletic Director, Coach, Teacher, Guidance Counselor)
