Central District Tryout Midget & Bantam Invitees Team Wisconsin Tryout Info WAHA Board of Directors at their April 11th meeting, decided to drop Girls Team Wisconsin for the following reasons: The team was not very competitive and good competition to play was very hard to find. With the Girls High School tournament that has been held in St. Point, not being held and some northern MI programs not having a 19U teams it has become a very big job for one person to do the schedule with quality games and organize a team. There are only 198 girls registered in this age group with WAHA and out of that number 40 are playing Tier I WAHA Girls hockey. There maybe interest in other groups to organize a before & after girls program and WAHA would encourage players to play in those programs. WAHA will continue to monitor girls hockey programs for possible future girls TW teams. Click HERE for more info. WAHA is asking your help to help equip our sled hockey team. Please consider a one time donation of $550 to equip our kids with a sled and sticks. Donations can be sent to Don Kohlman made payable to WAHA Sled Hockey. We are also looking for associations to have their PeeWee, Bantam, Midget, or High School programs to donate 1 hr. of ice time to have their able bodied team play our sled team. We will bring the equipment for your team to play in the sleds and compete.
