Per USA Hockey, as of February 1, 2012, any coach who has not completed the required CEP Level and at least one Age-appropriate module for the 2011-2012 season, is no longer allowed to participate with his or her team in any practices, games or off-ice activities. The 2012 WAHA/WHOA State Playoff & State Tournament Approved Officials Lists WAHA is looking for a host for the 2013 Bantam 1C state tournament. If you are interested in hosting please complete the "State Tournament Hosting Bid Request" form found under "Forms". When filling out the form please indicate 2013 All associations MUST screen any NEW registered coaches, managers, local Board members, employees of the local association and any other with significant contact with minor children. If a person was screened last year they don't need to be screened for another 2 years. WAHA will again this year pay for all screenings. USWJHL (United States Women’s Junior Hockey League) For all those who may have received information about this program, USA Hockey has informed us that this is NOT a USA Hockey sanctioned program. These teams may NOT participate in USA Hockey sanctioned tournaments, or Canadian Amateur Hockey sanctioned games/events/tournaments. Summer hockey dates as established by WAHA: Start at the completion of the USA Hockey National Tournaments in April and ends August 31 of the calendar year..
Invitational Tournament Sanctioning
Please send your association’s completed Invitational Tournament Sanction Forms and checks to your REGIONAL REGISTRAR. Do NOT send them to the WAHA Secretary or Treasurer. Mailing addresses for the Regional Registrars are listed under “WAHA Contacts” on the left side of this page. Any USA Hockey/WAHA team playing a WIAA or other National High School Federation team must have those games sanctioned by WAHA, and be played with the following considerations:
4. Only 5 games are allowed between WIAA and WAHA teams per year. Please request the approval and sanction by e-mail to Tom Hansen at tom.hansen@wahahockey.com, for each game. Please consider a one time donation of $550 to equip our kids with a sled and sticks. Donations can be sent to Tom Slocum, PO Box 170644, Milwaukee, WI 53217 made payable to WAHA Sled Hockey. We are also looking for associations to have their PeeWee, Bantam, Midget, or High School programs to donate 1 hr. of ice time to have their able bodied team play our sled team. We will bring the equipment for your team to play in the sleds and compete. This a great team building event and an opportunity for your kids to find out for 1 hour, what it is like to be disabled for 1 hour! WAHA Summer Hockey Policy |
